Today, in August publication ad images not likely to be used in September issues...

(scanned from the August 1st CIO magazine)
previously in oops ads
:
1. Embassy Suites ad inadvertently poignant.
2. Bow to your cotton khaki-panted Master.
3. conEd: of course New York is cool.
4. Right Gwynnie. And I'm Martian.
5. WTC Memorial "where were you when it happened?" ad.

I'm 99% certain that's one of the famous yellow bridges of Pittsburgh.

as if we needed a real-life tragedy to necessitate pulling this ad. isn't the fact that it sucks reason enough?

Couldn't your header have been, "A Bridge too far?"

yes David. It most certainly could've been.

Tragic photoshop work too. Least they could’ve made the directions of the car shadows on each half of the bridge match.

That isn't photoshop at all, noob. That is straight 3d and the shadows are correct. What is physically incorrect in the rendered shadows is the distance of the light from the scene which causes distortion when deal with sunlight.

Definently a Pittsburgh bridge. And I seriously doubt that the city would allow such an ad to be used in anything.

Oh snap! A bridge collapsed! Let's pull ads that refer to bridged ASAP.

it's not tenth street. tenth street has a squared off top on each of the structural supports, while the sister bridges over the allegheny (sixth, seventh, and ninth) have the round archways. also, even cs3 couldn't make the mon look that blue. ;-)

ps: why the heck is a firm from wayne (main line phila) using images from pittsburgh in its advertising? i know philly's fugly, but they've got bridges, too. (ben franklin, walt whitman, etc.)
